4m Pod House
The pod house is our most affordable self-contained unit and a favourite for backyard studios. Inside you will find a fold-out bed, wardrobe and shelving, a shower and toilet, and a sink with vanity — plus curtains and blinds already fitted, so it feels finished the day it lands. Hot and cold water inlets and black/grey waste outlets are built in, and the EPS-insulated panelling keeps it comfortable through Hunter summers and cooler valley mornings alike.
It is made for the small stuff that matters — a teen retreat in the Newcastle backyard, a quiet studio for working from home, or a guest pod on a Hunter Valley property. Compact, insulated and genuinely liveable, it is an easy way to add a private room without building from scratch.
Straight up on the wiring: the pod comes wired but not connected. You will need a licensed electrician to check and connect everything to Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000) before use. Air-conditioning and a hot-water system are not included — the water inlets are ready to go, but the hot-water unit is separate.
Delivery is by tilt-tray, quoted separately to your postcode (it shifts with the fuel levy and diesel price, so we quote it fresh). We deliver NSW-wide from our Newcastle base. Payment is in full prior to delivery — direct deposit preferred, card +1% surcharge. Quotes are valid 7 days or until sold.

Do I need approval for a backyard pod?
If anyone is sleeping in it, your local council will most likely want it approved. Rules differ across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter — check first, and we will supply the specs for your application.
How is it delivered?
By tilt-tray, set down where you need it within reason. Tell us about access and slope when you enquire so we can confirm before the day.
Can I hire a pod instead of buying?
Pods are sale only. If you just need a standard container for storage, Hunter Containers hires those — happy to point you across.
